What is FootNote?

FootNote is a student-led Malaysian social enterprise. We create socks that carry real stories—designed with communities we partner with—so every purchase supports meaningful social impact.

How does FootNote create impact?

We partner with children’s homes and run art workshops where participants are paid stipends for their time and contribution. Selected designs are adapted into sock designs, and a portion of proceeds is reinvested into partner homes to support their initiatives.

How much do you donate / reinvest?

We reinvest 10% of proceeds from eligible sales into partner homes and support initiatives. We also run specific campaigns where additional funds may be raised for impact. Impact updates are shared on our site and social channels.

Can I see proof of impact?

Yes. We publish impact updates such as workshop activity, funds reinvested, and partner home updates on our social media, as well as website. For safeguarding reasons, some information may be shared in privacy-safe formats.
